I just wanted to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas! This past year has be good as far as the tonewood business goes and I am excited that just today I finally got the top on my new workbench so guitars will start going together in the new year!! YIPPPEEEEE!

I would just like to thank you all for allowing me an opportunity to be a small part of some of your builds and the opportunity to learn stuff nearly every day from your informative posts.

All the best for the new year and may peace find you where ever you go!

Shane

Merry Christmas my friend! All the very best to you and your family!

I think I'm going to have to visit the Mecca of Lutz some day... See what's going down on the West Coast!

Say, Shane... If I ever visit, can I sleep in your wood shed? *laughing maniacally*Alain Desforges39074.9018402778

Yeah, Merry Xmas Shane and to all the rest of you lot as well. What a great bunch of people we have here. It has been a year packed choka block full of brain cramming info and great ideas and it was toped off for me by the receipt of a few Lutz tops from Shane just in time for Xmas .

So folks, I too will be commencing the build in the new year, not too early cause it's just too hot in AU, but none the less it will be happening this coming year. At last I will finally have the opportunity to put into practise some of what I have gain from being a member of this great group of people.

Thank you and a Merry Xmas to all, happiness and health to your families and peace and tolerance to the world.

Cheers

Kim, Lara, Ella & Darci ( who is 9 and just loves the fact that her dad is such a naughty boy cause he still has a animated gif for his avatar and nobody knows but her and me)

Alain and Serge...and anyone else! If you want to vacation here I am sure I can find lots of work for you to do to ease those laughing spazms!!    Really though, it would great to have you!

Tim, I will certainly say hi to Steve for you, I talk to him every couple of weeks or so!

I will post bench pics once I get the two built in vises complete and a bit of finish on it. I have been working on this thing for a few weeks now and though it is no match for some that have been shown on this forum I think it will suit my purposes very well!

I have a cool idea for shop stools also...I will show them once I have them done in 6 weeks of so!

Hope Santa is good to you all!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! It is snowing here right now (looks right Christmasy) and we are off for the annual neighbourhood road hockey game!

Peace
Shane

GREAT ADVISE Mike! I did relax a bit but I also sat in emergency at the hospital for a couple of hours this morning to get some anti-biotics to address this sinus and chest infection I have developed over the past couple of weeks. I hate taking medications so I delay these things, sometimmes too long! But no sleep for the past couple of nights and threats from my wife motivated me to address the problem! Still, I have been working on the shop, last bit of wall board will go up tomorrow and a sturdy set of shelves. We will be doing a large run of tops again next week, hopefully enough to get myself a head of the game a bit.

Anyway, still, Christmas is a wonderful time, sick or not, we spent time with friends and even had our annula hockey game on Christams Eve (that's probably what did me in!) but we can't miss those things!
Merry Christmas Mike, hope to see you again in the Spring!

Shane Honey, you really need to listen to your body and to your wife more closely. We would be terribly upset if you ended up in the hospital. You wouldn't get to work on your shop, spend time with your wife, play with your kids, slap a puck around or box up orders. Seems to me that would be something you would like to avoid. Well, I'm just saying it might have been worth dealing with earlier. Don't worry, I'm done, I'm off to worry my son about taking his meds. Same ailment.

Hope you feel better soon.

Lillian...you sound like an echo of my wife! I just hate meds and hospitals and hope that beer really is the true cure-all! But, alas, sometimes it just isn't quite good enough. I am learning though! Seriuosly though, I do know better. Our youngest son, now 4 years old, had a liver transplant when he was 16 months old. He know walks around with a chunk of mine in his body. He will be on meds for life likely and is great about it. I do know better, just always hope to fight it off myself first...... Thanks for the wise words though!

And Bob, my pleasure, INDEED!

Thanks

Shane

Oops. Didn't mean too.

Beer is good and you do need to stay hydrated, but beer just doesn't work well for that. I've tried and tried, but never succeeded. I've stopped trying. The headaches weren't worth it.

Glad to hear you are cutting up more tops. Sweetie said I could have two for my birthday. So, I'll be talking to you in March.

No problem, I actually like how my wife sounds...I still kinda like her....a lot really!! Hey, March is a great time for a birthday, flowers poping out and all that! I will be sure to have something nice around then, just in case the call comes!

Thanks Lillian...going for a beer now (to help wash down those horse pills!)
